Call for Papers

The Canadian Economics Association (CEA) Annual Conference for 2010 will be held at the Petit Séminaire de Québec in Québec City. Conference dates are Friday, May 28 through Sunday, May 30, with some sessions of affiliated organizations on Thursday, May 27.

The CEA invites anyone wishing to present a paper at the 2010 Conference to submit an abstract by Friday, February 19, 2010. Abstracts must be submitted using the CEA's online registration system and may be in either English or French. For registration using English, click on the "Submit a Paper" link.

All fields of specialization within economics will be considered. You will receive a notification once your paper is accepted or rejected. We expect an acceptance rate of about 60%. By submitting an abstract, you also agree to serve as a discussant and/or program chair at other sessions within your areas of interest if your paper is accepted. The Web form asks for information about your fields of interest.

You may present no more than one paper at the Conference. Please submit only one paper for consideration. Any additional submissions beyond your first will be discarded. A co-author may present another paper co-authored by you but must submit the paper separately.

In addition to the abstract, you may submit full-length papers by providing a Web link to a corresponding PDF file, or by uploading a PDF file in Conference Maker. Each presenter is required to provide the session chair and discussant with an electronic copy of the paper at least two weeks prior to the conference.

All presenters must register for the Conference. Registration can be done online through the conference Web site using the "Advance Registration" link. You may register without joining the CEA but we strongly recommend joining the CEA at the same time, which provides additional benefits and can be done at no extra cost. You may wait to register until you find out whether your paper is accepted but paper presenters must register for the Conference by April 30, 2010, otherwise your paper will be removed from the conference schedule.
