Topics

  • Methods of registration

    • measures of similarity, 2D/3D/4D, nonrigid deformation, intra- or inter-modality registration, intra- or inter-subject registration, optimization methods, model-based registration.

  • Biomedical applications of registration

    • computer integrated surgery, image-guided therapy and diagnosis, treatment planning, serial studies, morphometry, biomechanics, image retrieval, image tiling and image fusion.

  • Validation of registration

    • computational and empirical accuracy, comparison studies, physical models.

Paper submission
Subscribe for submission here. The account is currently only for submission.
Authors should take the following into account:

  • All papers must be written in English.

  • A pdf version is required for reviewing purposes, also a 400 words abstract.

  • A full 8-12 pages paper is expected for reviewing in Springer‘s LNCS style (see below for further information).

  • A paper will be rejected right away if

    • it contains more than 12 pages.

    • violates the double-blind policy. This means that the authors and affiliations should be omitted from the review version of the paper. If the paper cites the authors‘ work (and identifies it as such) the reference to the cited work should be omitted from the bibliography.

    • violates the dual-submission policy. This means by submitting a manuscript to WBIR, the authors guarantee that it has not been previously published (or accepted for publication) in substantially similar form. Furthermore, no paper which contains significant overlap with the contributions of this paper either is under review at the moment of submission or will be submitted during the WBIR 2010 review period to any of the following: another conference, a workshop, or a journal.

    • violates the layout guidelines.

Authors' instruction
Since the conference proceeding will be published in Springer‘s LNCS, the layout of the submitted paper has to follow LNCS style. Please use the style files by the publisher. Important links to Springer‘s website are given in the following.
•Authors‘ instructions: typeinst.pdf
•Package (LaTeX2e style file, introduction etc): llncs2e.zip
